Child Support Agency (CSA)
The Child Support Agency (CSA) assesses and
collects maintenance payments in respect of
children who are under 16 (19 if they are in
full-time non-advanced education). Someone
whose relationship has ended, who has the
children of the relationship living with
her/him, and who claims income support or
income-based jobseeker's allowance, will
normally have to use the CSA to obtain
maintenance for the children. Someone who
claims tax credits does not have to use the
CSA. |
